My Fairy Cake Recipe

Hi Shimmers,
Today I thought I'd share my fairy cake recipe with you guys tag me on Twitter with the hashtag #BakingwithShimmerr ENJOY! P.S Haven't got Instagram because my phone has broke getting my new one soon don't worry but for now :( .



110g of Softened Unsalted Butter
110g of caster sugar
2 Eggs
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
110g Of Self-raising Flour
1-2 Tablespoons of milk

For the Icing
300g Icing Sugar
2-3 Tablespoons of water
2-3 drops of Food Coloring
Hundreds and Thousands or other cake Decorations

Instructions:

1.Set the oven at 180C/350F/Gas four and line 2 twelve hole fairy cake tins with paper cases
2.Cream the butter and Sugar together in a bowl until pale. Then beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the Vanilla Extract.
3.Fold in the Flour and stir in the milk until the mix is smooth and is a dropping consistency. If needed drop in another tablespoon of milk. Use a ladle or large spoon to spoon in the mixture into the paper cases until it is half full/half empty.
4. Bake in the oven for 8-10 minuets until the top is golden brown. Insert a skewer or knife into the 2 cakes if it comes out clean and dry take them out. If it is wet leave it in for another 3-5 minuets.
5. To make the icing sift the icing sugar and then add the water until it is a smooth consistency. Stir in the food colouring.
6. Put the icing on the cool fairy cakes and then add the cake decorations you are using it doesn't have to be tidy.
7. ENJOY!
